September is PERSONAL CARE ITEM MONTH for Operation Christmas Child shoebox donations!Throughout the month of September, Oak Hill will be collecting personal care items (i.e. toiletries) that will be used to pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child in the middle of November. Check out the list below to know what types of personal care items to donate.
All donations can be dropped off in the Children’s Ministries office. |
Personal Care Items
Please DO NOT include: toothpaste, liquids or lotions, & medications or vitamins
- Wide tooth comb
- Hairbrush
- Toothbrush
- Washcloth
- Blanket
- Adhesive Bandages
- Sewing kit
- Flashlight (crank or solar-powered, or make sure to include extra batteries)
- Compact mirror
- Reusable Plastic Containers (i.e. cup, water bottle, plate, bowl, blunt-edged utensils)
- Consider filling with non-liquid items like bows, bracelets, sunglasses, etc.
- Chapstick (non-liquid)
- Stick deodorant
- Washable/reusable cloth menstrual pads (for girls 10-14)
- Nail clipper & file
